Talk about last minute....Erik and I did the final maternity pic session tonight. Of course, I wanted the cute little picture of the baby blocks spelling her name on my belly and the first, oh, 10 minutes of pictures, Erik had spelled Brooklyn as BROOLYN...no K. Um, babe, we have to start from scratch. Of course, Crosby didn't cooperate quite as well the second time around. We have a few hundred pictures to upload so I think we're going to try to take care of that during the week we're home with her. Some of the pictures were gorgeous...I loved the pix we took at the lake 2 weekends ago.
Erik and I are still wavering on the induction arena. We feel so torn. I just wish she had arrived already then we wouldn't have to make this decision. I think we are leaning toward induction. We plan everything in our lives, even down to trying to make sure holidays were incorporated into maternity leave. If she were to be born on Friday, then our sisters and parents would have the weekend already off to spend time at the house and hospital and we'd have a full week next week of just the 3 of us before Erik would go back to work. On the other hand, we plan everything in our lives. It would be fun, for once, to have something be so spontaneous and to let nature takes it's course. Any advice? Guidance?
Maybe labor will start tonight!?!?!? Both Erik and I said a few months ago that 10/22 would be her birthday...
On the work side of things, I love Southside and regional. I guess it still stems from my decision between anesthesiology, dermatology and orthopaedics. I love the patient group in orthopaedics. It's sad that Southside is now an outpatient facility as opposed to inpatient with the addition of joints and other more invasive procedures. If this rotation is awesome now, I can only imagine it in its true heyday!
